("ACT"; OTCBB: ACTC or the "Company"), a leader in the field of regenerative medicine, today announced that its iPS cell-derived human platelet program has been named as one of the "10 Ideas That Will Shape The Year" in the 'Christmas and New Year Special' issue of the New Scientist, widely considered to be one of the most influential science and technology news magazines in the world. The list includes innovations in different scientific areas such as health and medicine, climate change, technology and others. ACT's platelet program aims to provide a renewable, donorless source of blood platelets to people in need of platelet transfusions.
